Hello folks,
This here is a test. I am bringing over some of my earlier artwork and poetry from the “pre-blog” site (link is on the home page) but I am doing a test to see if I can use this format for what I want. So, here goes nothing……
Abstract Timepiece
The past is a lesson,
The wisdom that we’re taught.
The past is a tally,
Of the things that we have sought.
The past is a mirror,
To view what we have wrought.
So learn….as much as you can.
For today is where we are right now,
The moment that’s at hand.
Today is a brand new starting point,
Which is at our command.
Today shapes tomorrow,
The future that we’ve planned,
So reach…as far as you can.

Temple Gate
Through the arch or temple gate,
A humble hut or Doors of State,
In hopes we can negotiate
To see which one will be our fate.
So we’ll push through another door
And carry all that’s gone before,
And yet we yearn for so much more,
And hold our breath for what’s in store.

Old Man Firths’ Garden
In old man Firth’s garden
There now blooms a rose
That tells us a secret
That growing things know.
Has something to do
With it’s death and it’s birth
And the part played by water,
By air and by earth.
That things of such beauty
Fulfills some deep need,
How such magic could come from
A root or a seed.
And yet all had their hand in
It’s glory now grown,
And tells us that nothing
Exists on its own.
